Agioi Akinidinoi
In front of the Venetian castle of Chora in a wonderful location: a balcony of the southern part of Kythira overlooking the Cretan Sea, there is the small church of Agioi Akindinoi, which is attested from the 17th century and according to tradition, was built by sailors who ran various dangers in the sea of Cithera. The location is magnificent as it offers a unique view of Chora and Kapsali to the southwest, while looking north the eye reaches Avlaimonas and the airport. At the point you can admire wonderful sunrises and sunsets.
Agioi Akindinoi are celebrated on November 2, while the previous afternoon is held on the eve.
Access: Up to the village of Strapodi with asphalt and then with a passable dirt road and cement road.
