Agia Sofia in Agia Pelagia
Beautiful small cave located on the road that connects Potamos with Agia Pelagia, where you go down with stone steps. The cave is located near the ravine and the source of Galani. It has an area of about 120 square meters and has a beautiful decoration of stalactites and stalagmites. In the middle of the cave there is a small altar with the image of Agia Sofia.
The cave was explored in 1954 by the leading Kythirian speleologist Giannis Petrochilos.
The cave can be visited, is not used for tourism and has only natural light.
Access: From the main road Potamos – Agia Pelagia with an easy small path.
