Ravine of Mylopotamos
The ravine starts from the location of the waterfall of Neraida and reaches Kalami beach where there is its end to the sea. All along the way there is running water, pedestals with waterfalls, plane trees and very rich vegetation.
In the past, the abundant running water made the area its place of exploitation, with the existence of a large number of watermills and agricultural exploitation such as orchards, olive groves, etc. This offered Mylopotamos economic prosperity, self-sufficiency and population numbering 1200 people, thus making it a large village.
Nowadays the area again manages to gather a large number of human activity, for tourist reasons this time, due to its special natural beauty. Many walkers visit the area all year round as there is a marked trail.
