Sailing in Kythira
The sea of Kythira is ideal for sailing as the island is located in the center of three seas and therefore usually blows a lot all year round. In 2019, in fact, the semifinal of the important event Hellenic Match Racing Tour (HMRT) took place in Kapsali with teams of top sailors.
Also the Nautical Sports Club of Kythira conducts sailing lessons during the summer months on the island.
Useful Information
During the summer months, a number of sailing boats visit the island, which usually dock in Kapsali, Avlemonas, Agia Pelagia and Diakofti.
