Kalokairines
On the way to the Holy Pilgrimage of Panagia Myrtidiotissa we meet the village Kalokairines.
It is a very old village of the island with important buildings which have preserved their special architecture until today and nowadays many of them are restored and function as houses or hostels.
Just before the entrance of the village you will find one of the wineries of the island which is housed in a beautiful neoclassical building. In Kalokairines you can also see a functional restored windmill.
