Diakofti
Diakofti is a beautiful seaside village of Kythira with turquoise waters. It is an ideal place for family vacations and children. The advantage of the village is its wonderful blond sandy beach, while very close to it is the now well-known cave of Housti where great archeological findings of 4,000 BC were found.
The shipwreck of the Nordland ship, which crashed on the islet of Prasonisi and is now half-sunk near the port, is also well-known and well-photographed.

In the area there are many hotels, rooms to let, taverns and cafes. Diakofti hosts the main port of the island.
