Ravine of Koufos Gialos
One of the special ravines of Kythira is that of Koufos Gialos. The path starts from the picturesque village of Durianika and ends at the beautiful beach of the same name. During the route, which is about 2,000m, one encounters green spots with vegetation on the bed of the small river, as well as high impressive rocks. The end of the journey into the sea is impressive as the walker faces a huge cave next to the beach.
In winter in many places the waters form small lakes. In most months of the year the canyon is almost dry.
