Mechanism of Antikythera hall

It is located in the central square of Potamos, on the ground floor of the neoclassical Municipal building. The space consists of two rooms. One houses the KEP of Kythera and the other the working model of the mechanism of Antikythera which is made of Plexiglas and is four times larger than the real one. Here one can see and admire the extraordinary craftsmanship of the engineers who built this technological marvel for the time.

In the space, the visitor can also watch a scientific analysis of the operation of the mechanism on a video wall, as well as study the fragments of the mechanism on a touch screen.
